Bistro Saint Dominique

Dominique is a new club that just opened right next to Segafredo Brickell. This spot has a strong French Bistro feel to it. The venue is embellished with cute oval black and white chairs laced around picnic tables and finished with trendy white chandeliers, which can be kind of confusing as to whether it’s a casual or an upscale place. This club/bistro offers food til 5 am, so whether you want to dance, drink, and eat, you might possibly have found your spot. There’s a small VIP area on a stage, right in front of the dance floor.  Today, this French club was pounds out Raggaeton music to an empty dance floor and a lonely kitchen.  I asked the promoter what the deal was with the empty dance floor, and he said it was their first promoted night. I guess we’ll have to check back in a few weeks!

Segafredo Brickell

This place was rocking with hookah pipes and colorful mojitos all over, especially outside where it was packed with groups of friends, singles, and couples. It’s a great place to have a relaxing night socializing outside or step inside where the music is pumping with the latest house and hip-hop jams. It was pretty empty inside compared to the outdoor space, which I infer has a lot to do with the great weather in October. Attire is dressy or casual. Most of the crowd seemed like they were local professionals in their late 20’s and 30’s. Absolut Vodka bottles start $180 and beers range from $6-$7, including tip.

Delano – South Beach Miami

Delano Hotel in South Beach certainly exemplifies an exclusive atmosphere. Starting from the valet parking to the entrance, hotel guests are definitely the number one priority. Having a parking strategy on Collins isn’t the only preparation you need. Make sure that you are on the guest list before you even try to get in. This place is slightly upscale with a more sophisticated crowd, ranging from late 20’s and above. The ambience requires mature dress attire – think “work party” feel. Most women in the hotel are dressed conservative and men don their slacks or dress shirt and jeans. Many of the guests are
travelling for business or have some connection with the hotel, itself. The music is mostly house and hip-hop, and the cheapest bottle starts at $350, going up to $1000 or more. If you are a visitor, Delano is a nice and convenient place to stay and enjoy the nightlife. The best part of this place is the courtyard which has a beautiful cascading pool and hammocks placed strategically around the premise between tree— I was tempted to trade my heels for towel and a pillow.
